It seems like every other week there is a new amnesty or benefit bill for illegal aliens introduced in the Congress. The ';comprehensive bill'; was introduced over and over, the dream act was also introduced many times, and countless other bills to give more benefits or stop enforcement are constantly introduced.
Why is it that Congress has time to act to help people that aren't allowed to vote and aren't allowed to be in the country, but they don't have the time to take up issues that affect Americans?
I don't see them concerned about the problems associated with illegal aliens on Americans, like gangs, drugs, and draining resources from all levels. Why do illegal aliens have so much control over elected officals?
Maybe it is the amazing FACT that their voting power is growing at incredible rates.
Vicky Castro, former member of Los Angeles Board of Education at Southwest Voter Registration Project Conference, 6/1996
';Que viva la raza, que viva la raza (long live our race)! I'm here to welcome all the new voters of 18 years old that we're registering now in our schools. Welcome, you're going to make a difference for Los Angeles, for San Antonio, for New York, and I thank Southwest for taking that challenge. And to the Mechistas (MEChA students) across this nation, you're going to make that difference for us, too. But when we register one more million voters I will not be the only Latina on the Board of Education of Los Angeles. And let me tell you here, no one will dismantle bilingual education in the United States of America. No one will deny an education to any child, especially Latino children. As you know, in Los Angeles we make up 70% of this school district. Of 600,000 -- 400,000 are Latinos, and our parents are not heard and they're going to be heard because in Los Angeles, San Antonio and Texas we have just classified 53,000 new citizens in one year that are going to be felt in November!';
Ruben Zacarias, former superintendent of Los Angeles Unified School District at Southwest Voter Registration Project Conference, 6/1997
';We have 27 centers now throughout LAUSD. Every one of them has trained people, clerks to take the fingerprints. Each one has the camera, that special camera. We have the application forms. And I'll tell you what we've done with I.N.S. Now we're even doing the testing that usually people had to go to INS to take, and pretty soon, hopefully, we'll do the final interviews in our schools. Incidentally, I started this very quietly because there are those that if they knew that we were creating a whole new cadre of brand new citizens it would have tremendous political impact. We will change the political panorama not only of L.A., but L.A. County and the State. And we do that we've changed the panorama of the nation. I'm proud to stand here and tell you that in those close to three years we have processed a little over 78,000 brand new citizens. That is the largest citizenship program in the entire nation.
Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor,
';We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are
becoming citizens of this country . . . I gotta tell you that a lot of
people are saying, ';I'm going to go out there and vote because I want to
pay them back.';Why do illegal aliens have so much control over elected officals?
Democrats pander and Republicans are afraid to be called racists by dems.
Well, that was then this is now. Now, they are starting to realize if they want to be re-elected or elected they are going to have to listen to the American people. An overwhelming majority of Americans want our borders secure, and end to hand outs and freebies and an enforcement of our laws. There are those on the far left like Pelosi and Reid, who it will never dawn on. They don't care about the American People, they only care about themselves and furthering their left wing causes.
Only two candidates chose to make illegal immigration part of their platform, Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter. These two guys have solid records fighting illegal immigration. They don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. The rest didn't think it important enough until they started realizing what a huge issue this is with the American People! The battle is far from over and we still have a considerable way to go but we are making progress. We defeated the Dream Act three times with phone calls, faxes and emails that literally shut down their phone lines! We also stopped the Ag Bill by the same measures. Keep fighting!
Ya! What the h*ll is going on!?
any politics who support criminal alien like liberal republics and democrats they crook and they LOBBIES.
billary obama richardson open border just want all mexican move here and vote them even illegal they dont care
Those days are dead and gone and there not coming back. Americans are going to vote against any candidate that supports the illegal alien scum suckers. Ask Hillary or John McCain.
Look at the love directed at me. Me encanta!
Edit--
And now it's gone. People report anything.
That may of been but the tide is turning. The fight is far from over.
Illegals have family and friends here that vote legally. They are sympathetic. The first poster is right about business influence on the vote too.
Anchor babies. End that, and you end the control.
They don't. It's the businesses that hire them.
Big business wants cheap labor. Big business funds presidential campaigns. Millionaire candidates have several illegals on their private staff.
They are not concerned with the WILL OF THE PEOPLE.
They know American Citizens who vote will believe whatever they tell 'em. The cost of welfare should be directly deducted from their amassed fortunes with low and middle incomes exempt. Then. we'll see some action to rid America of the foreign leeches.
It's not the illegals, its the employers that have the control. They donate to the politicians and have a strong lobby.
A) Goverment understands that we NEED immigrants.
B) Aliens keep Social Security afloat 2 ways:
1) They pay SS taxes they'll never collect
2) They bring new blood into an aging population
C) Aliens keep inflation down.
