How early can I take a birth control test and what is the best brand?

I am spotting/bleeding and I am 2 weeks from my period... How early can I take a at home test and it be effectively be positive?How early can I take a birth control test and what is the best brand?

I like the dollar store brand, cheap and reliable, but the Walmart Equate brand is easier because it is a midstream test.





You can test as early as 10 days past ovulation, but if you don't know when that is it's roughly 4 days before you expect your period. If you get a negative wait a few days and test again as you might have tested too early. If you are 2wks away from your period spotting can be a sign of ovulation rather than pregnancy.How early can I take a birth control test and what is the best brand?
you mean pregnancy test?? you can take one 5 days before your expected period, but if its negative wait a few days and take another one just in case your hormone levels werent high enough to be detected!





oh i forgot! most tests are about the same, just be sure and get early response. my fave was first response and ept, but i got tired of faint positives so i got a clear blue easy digital (they are cheapest at target) btw, if you get a faing positive, you ARE pregnant thats what usually happens when you test early. :)
it's usually about 5 days before your period is due, but it's less accurate that early


you should be ovulating around now, so it could be implantation bleeding...but women spot sometimes for no good reason

It doesn't work that way you have to have missed your period or be at least with in a few days of it! Spotting actually can be a sign of ovulation at the point your describing and if not that then your cycle is off! Good luck!
I took a preggo test about 10 days after conception and got a very clear postive. I love the answer tests. I have always found out before my period was due. with my third..I found out over a week before my period was due.
You mean pregnancy test right? Not until your period is due.
