When does missing a dose of birth control count as missing two doses?

I missed a dose of my birth control on Wednesday (yesterday) and then took my missed pill and today's pill today. The problem is, I didn't get the chance to take it until several hours later than my regular dose time.


I normally take it at 6:30am, and I didn't take it today until 3:00pm.





Would this count as missing 2 days of active pills? Or just one.

If you've been taking it regularly, i would not worry about the time issue, just get back on track taking it and you'll be ok.
